Adriana Bignagni Lesca, mezzo-contralto
Adriana Bignani Lesca impresses the audience with her rich, mezzo-contralto voice and versatile styles for the dramatic roles of opera, operetta and jazz concerts.
Holder of a DEM with distinction of Crr de Bordeaux 2013, Adriana frequently performs at the Opéra National de Bordeaux.
She is a laureate of Armel Opera Competition; she performed the role of the Angel in Bruno Coli's Angel of Odd with mention of the best vocal and scenic performance (June, July 2016). She has performed at the Verdi Theater in Pisa, Italy, and then live on Arte Concert at the Thalia Budapest Theater.
She will soon be performing L'alto in the tricorne of M.de Falla (18 and 19 April 2019) with Josep Pons, Role of Robweisse in Wagner's Die Walküre (17, 20 and 23 May 2019). Among his many upcoming roles, note also that of Mistress Quickly in Verdi's Falstaff (February-March 2021) at the Bordeaux Opera.
His recent productions at the Opéra de Bordeaux include, in November and December, Christmas Jazz Concerts directed by Maestro Salvatore Caputo, Afro-Blues American Christmas Concert at the Auditorium of Bordeaux and Radio-broadcast at Radio Classique by Monsieur Christian. Morin led by Paul Daniel.
Born in Libreville, Gabon, Adriana Bignagni Lesca joined the prestigious Le Chant choir on La Lowé at the age of 15, with which she recorded an album. At 19, she came to France to learn Bel Canto in the singing / opera class of the Conservatoire de Bordeaux with Maryse Castets.
Young Hope Award and Public Prize at the Friends of the Grand Théâtre competition, then finalist of the Opera Bastille Paris competition in 2012. She is the first Gabonese to win the Diploma of Musical Studies of Lyric Singing with honors in TB. 2013.
