Enrico Iviglia, brilliant and agile tenor, is renowned on the European opera scene, particularly in the role of Count Ory, he has interpreted in several countries.
Upcoming engagements in 2018 include the role of Count Almaviva in Rossini's Barber of Seville at La Fenice Theater, Regio di Torino, Giotto in Florence, Mainfranken in Wurzburg and soloist in Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in Asti.
His recent engagements in 2017 included the first roles in Il viaggio in Reims at the Opera in Rome (June), La Cenerentola in Luglio musical Trapani (July), Occasione fa il Ladro at the La Fenice theater (September), Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Sassari Theater (November) and many concerts and oratorios.
Other recent successful engagements in 2016-17, include: Biel / Bienne and Swiss tour: Le Comte Ory for a total of 21 performances. Cinderella at the Theater Regensburg, Bach Magnificat in Novara, debut at the San Carlo Opera in Naples Achille in Sciro of Domenico Sarro Rossini’s Otello.
Enrico Iviiglia is a winner of many national and international competitions, including the Academy of the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro for the role of Cavalier Belfiore in Il Viaggio a Reims (summer of 2005) at the Rossini Opera Festival (ROF), then presented in October of the same year in Jerevan (Armenia) under the direction of Maestro Alberto Zedda. He was awarded at the First International Competition F. Alfano organized by the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra for the role of Conte d’Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia. The final concert of this contest was broadcasted on RaiUno Italian Channel. He also won the 60th competition for young opera singers in March 2006 held at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale of Spoleto, chaired by the celebrated soprano R.Kabaivanska.
Born in Asti, Italia, he graduated from the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Turin with the highest distinctions under the guidance of Professor Silvana Moyso. He pursued his studies with Master Sherman Lowe and is currently perfecting his knowledge in Barcelona with the tenor Raul Gimenez. His upcoming engagements includes a production of the Teatro La Fenice of L'Occasione fa il ladro at Teatro Malibran in Venice.
Enrico Iviglia interpreted various roles such as Stregone/Marinaio in Purcel’s opera Dido and Aeneas and Ferrando in Così fan tutte at the Turin Conservatory Theatre. He also performed at the Piccolo Regio of Turin in the musical fairy tale Ciottolino in the role of Papà, and replaced a colleague in the production of As.Li.Co. at the Teatro Grande in Brescia playing the role of Nemorino in the opera Elisir d'Amore. He featured in Il Mondo della Luna by Paisiello (singing Ecclitico) at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, at the Teatro Caio Melisso in Spoleto in Scarlatti’s opera La Dirindina, and also as Il Podestà in the opera Finta Giardiniera at the Teatro Comunale in Florence. You could have hear him in the roles of Lucio and Gondoliero in Rossini’s opera Otello at the Rossini Opera Festival (ROF) in 2007 and as Rodrigo, still in Otello at Opéra Saint Moritz. Mr. Iviglia portrayed Ramiro in Cenerentola at the Teatro Nuovo of Spoleto, sang the part of Condulmiero at the Rossini Opera Festival 2008 in the opera Maometto II by Rossini, as Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and also could be heard in Lucrezia Borgia at the Teatro Regio of Turin.
He has been involved in the first tour in Japan with the ROF with Otello, Maometto II, and Le nozze di Teti e di Peleo (portraying Giove). He then toured in the role of Gastone in the opera La Traviata at the Teatro Regio in Turin, at the Theatre Bunkakaikan of Tokyo and Theatre in Wiesbadenat in Germany. He also featured in the 64th opera season in Spoleto portraying Paolino in Il Matrimonio segreto, interpreted the role of Libeskof in the opera Il Viaggio a Reims all across Europe (Madrid, Piacenza, Lugo, Busseto and Asti), and the role of Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore at the Teatro Nuovo of Spoleto and Umbria tour and Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
Enrico Iviglia debuted at the Teatro alla Scala by interpreting Rejoice in the Lamb Op 30 by B.Britten then in numerous roles such as Luigino in Rossini’s Viaggio a Reims and L'Italiana in Algeri, portraying Lindoro. He also took part in the production of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala of Il Barbiere di Siviglia presented in the cities of Reggio Emilia and Modena. He was also performing in concerts interpreting various pieces such as Handel’s The Messiah, J.S. Bach’s Mass in B min and singing the Jephe of G.Carissimi.
