Marion Decorvet moves us by the beauty of her great soprano voice with the irreproachable technique perfectly combining nuances, art of the stage and musicality. She is presently preparing the role of Elisabeth de Valois in Don Carlo de Verdi that will be presentating in 2019-20.
She shone in Adina from Elisir d' Amore in the BFM last January then will again perform it on tour in November, 2018.
Marion began her career at the age of 17 by singing excerpts from Verdi's La Traviata. She later performed in concerts and operas directed by Philippe Beran, Benoît Willmann, Natacha Casagrande, Sébastien Brugière and Luc Baghdassarian, accompanied by orchestras such as the Geneva Chamber Orchestra. She takes part in several tours in China and Italy. On stage, she plays the roles of Violetta (Verdi's La Traviata), Juliet (Gounod's Roméo et Juliette), Mimi (Puccini's La Bohème), Nedda (Pagliacci by Leoncavallo), Marguerite (Faust), Norina (Don Pasquale) , Dido and Sorceress (Purcell's Dido and Aeneas), Douce (Douce et Barve Bleue d’Albouker), Jessie (Mahagony of Kurt Weill). She performs, in Geneva, Victoria Hall, the roles of Zayda in Don Sebastian, Roi duPortugal by Donizetti and Anna in Puccini's The Villi.
In 2008, she obtains her certificate of singing with the congratulations of the jury and enters the Haute Ecole de Musique of Lausanne. She follows the masterclasses of Dale Duesing, Luisa Castellani and Irwin Gage. In 2010, she won the 3rd prize in Les Clés d'Or competition in Paris in the excellence category.
Born in Geneva in 1988, Marion Decorvet began singing very young with her mother, herself a singer. Benefiting from a derogation due to her young age (13 years), Marion enters the singing and theater class at the Conservatoire de Genève.
